The Siebel CRM 20/21 Upgrade Workshop is a comprehensive, modular training that teaches how to prepare for and conduct a Siebel Upgrade project from a pre-IP 17 release to the current Siebel CRM Update. The workshop is beneficial for Siebel Developers, Siebel Administrators and Siebel Business Analysts, provided they have prior experience (Siebel Consultant or Business Analyst level) with Siebel CRM. The Siebel CRM 20/21 Workshop is a recommended companion training.

• Overview of the process of upgrading development, test and production environments from pre-IP 17 to the current Siebel release
• Details on IP 17+ Architecture, Installation and Siebel Management Console (SMC), Modular Deployment Engine (MDE)
• A full demonstration/hands-on exercise of installing the latest Siebel CRM release to prepare for an upgrade, including Modular Deployment Engine (MDE)
• Deep dive into Migration Application and Migration Services
• Preparation and execution of the first part of a development environment upgrade (aka upgrep_dev)
• Repository Merge process during a development environment upgrade from non-Innovation Pack releases (e.g. 8.0)
• Repository Merge process during a development environment upgrade from Innovation Pack releases (IP 13 – 16)
• Steps executed after the repository merge, completing the development upgrade
• Concepts of upgrading Siebel test/QA/SIT and production environments
